The Support Programs

Several support programs are provided for use with the primary observe and starchart programs.

dataconv

This program is used to convert between file formats, especially to generate binary format files. It can precess coordinates as desired. Remember, input data files for starchart programs should be in 2000.0 coordinates.

sif-to-text

The sif-to-text or sif_to_text program converts sif format files to more readable text tables.

tosize

This program is used to encode the size of objects, for development of new databases.
